The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a broad or spherical canopy of medium density; flowering type is mid-late. The variety is self-incompatible; for cross-pollination, the varieties Sylvana, Starking Hardy Giant, and Vanda are recommended.

The fruits are of the "heart" type, have a heart-shaped form, and a dark red or dark brownish-red skin color. The flesh is red, juicy, with a soft texture and a sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety is moderately resistant to fungal diseases such as Blumeriella jaapii, and is sensitive to brown rot (Monilia) and late spring frosts. The fruits are prone to cracking during precipitation; ripening occurs in the third cherry week.
