10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is medium-sized and forms a compact spherical crown. The fruits have a spherical, slightly flattened shape and an average weight of about 7.4 g. The dark red shiny skin is resistant to cracking. The flesh is red, semi-firm and juicy, characterized by a sweet-and-sour taste with a sugar content of 9.2% and acids of 0.68%. The stone is medium-sized and easily separates from the flesh.
The variety belongs to the mid-season group: fruit ripening occurs in the second ten-day period of June. The tree enters the fruiting phase 5–6 years after planting, providing a yield of about 7–10 t/ha. The variety shows tolerance to Monilinia and anthracnose. Flowering is early; for cross-pollination, the varieties Bigarreau Napoleon, Boambe de Cotnari and Van are suitable. The variety is well compatible with sweet cherry and sour cherry rootstocks and is intended for fresh consumption.
