The variety is early, ripening in the 2nd–3rd cherry week. The fruits have a broad-heart or flattened, often angular shape. The skin is unevenly colored in dark violet-red. The flesh is dark red near the pit, becoming very soft upon full maturity. The pedicel is of medium length, the pit is large.

The tree is vigorous, with inclined scaffold branches forming a broad crown. Flowering is medium or medium-early. The variety is self-infertile and requires the presence of pollinator varieties, such as «Schneiders späte Knorpelkirsche», «Hedelfinger», «Büttners Rote Knorpelkirsche» or «Kassins Frühe Herzkirsche».
