The variety is used in the production of sweet cherries with the protected geographical indication Ciliegia di Marostica in the province of Vicenza. It belongs to the late maturity group.

Biochemical studies have established that the fruits possess pronounced antioxidant activity due to the interaction of anthocyanins, quercetins, and ascorbic acid.
