The tree is vigorous or medium-vigorous with a dense, rounded crown. Fruits are very large, weighing 9–10 g, up to 33.5 mm in diameter, with bright red skin that turns dark red and shiny upon ripening. The flesh is bright red, firm, and juicy, with a sweet dessert taste.

The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators. Fruits ripen in late June to early July. The variety is distinguished by winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and relative resistance to fruit cracking. High resistance to Monilinia and bacterial canker has been noted.
