The tree is vigorous, with healthy and robust growth. It forms a crown with obliquely ascending branches that become gnarled with age. The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of a pollinator tree; flowering occurs in mid-late periods.
Fruits are medium-sized, round in shape, and acquire an intensely shiny black color when fully ripe. The flesh is dark red, soft, gelatinous, and very juicy. The taste is subtle, with a low sugar content and a characteristic bitter aftertaste reminiscent of almond.
The variety belongs to the 3rd–4th cherry week; fruit ripening occurs uniformly. The tree has good resistance to fruit cracking during rain, but is characterized by moderate susceptibility to little cherry disease (X-disease).
