The tree is vigorous, forms a large crown, and is compatible with rootstocks of varying vigor. The variety is mid-late; fruit ripening occurs in early July.

Fruits are large, heart-shaped, and have a dark red shiny skin. The flesh is firm, juicy, and has a sweet taste with a hint of acidity. The pedicel is of medium or long length.

The variety is self-sterile (genetic type S3S12). Fruits are prone to cracking during precipitation and may drop under unfavorable soil conditions. The plant is sensitive to Monilinia, Wilsonomyces carpophilus, and frost damage to the wood.
