The tree is vigorous, forming a large, high-pyramidal crown, reaching 3–6 meters. The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of other compatible varieties for pollination. The fruits are large, weighing up to 9–13 g, heart-shaped, with dark red, almost black skin and juicy, cartilaginous flesh.

The variety belongs to the late maturity group; the harvest is collected in July. The tree is susceptible to Monilinia and shot-hole disease. The fruits are prone to cracking during rainy weather and premature drop in case of unfavorable soil conditions or drought in early summer.
