The tree is vigorous with a large, high-pyramidal crown, suitable for cultivation as a standard tree. The fruits are large, weighing 9–13 g, heart-shaped with a pronounced suture. The skin turns dark red, almost black and shiny upon ripening. The flesh is firm, cartilaginous, and juicy, with a harmonious balance of sugar and acid.

The variety is late-ripening, with harvest occurring in July. The plant is self-incompatible and requires pollinators for fruit set, such as «Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche» or «Büttners Rote Knorpelkirsche». It prefers sunny locations with fertile, permeable, and lime-rich soils.

The variety is sensitive to adverse factors: fruits are prone to cracking during rainfall and premature dropping during drought. The wood is susceptible to freezing, and susceptibility to Stigmina carpophila and Monilinia is also noted. The yield is suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
