Variety description

The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 3.5–6 meters and forming a broad pyramidal or wide-spreading crown 3–5 meters wide. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties, such as «Große Prinzessinkirsche» or «Büttners Rote Knorpelkirsche».
Fruits are large, reaching 9 g in weight and 3 cm in diameter, and have a broad heart shape. The smooth skin turns from dark red to dark brown upon ripening. The flesh is very firm, juicy, light red or pink in color, and is characterized by a harmonious sweet taste with low acidity.
The variety is late-ripening: harvesting begins from the beginning of July. Fruits are resistant to cracking. The tree itself is winter-hardy, however, its blossoms are sensitive to spring frosts; a susceptibility of the variety to Monilinia infection is also noted.
