The tree is vigorous, forming a tall pyramidal crown reaching 3–6 meters in height. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinator partners such as Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche, Büttners Rote Knorpelkirsche, or Regina.

Fruits are broadly heart-shaped, large, weighing up to 13 g, with firm dark red skin. The flesh is firm, juicy, with a sweet taste with a slight acidity and spicy aroma. Ripening occurs in July and is extended over time.

The variety is winter-hardy, prefers sunny sheltered locations and nutritious calcareous soils. With excessive rainfall, fruits are prone to cracking; in hot, dry weather, their premature drop is possible.
