The variety belongs to the late maturity group; harvest occurs from late July to early August. Fruits are large, dark red in color, and may darken to a nearly black shade upon ripening. The flesh is firm, crisp, and sweet. Intended for fresh consumption.

The tree is characterized by high yield and winter hardiness; it is suitable for cultivation in northern regions. The variety is self-fertile and does not require the presence of pollinators, although their presence contributes to more stable fruiting. Relative resistance of the fruits to cracking is noted.
