The variety was bred at the Summerland Research Station in Canada by crossing the Van and Stella varieties. The tree is characterized as medium-sized and vigorous, with upright shoots and a compact crown, which allows for cultivation in intensive plantings or containers.

The fruits are very large, round in shape, reaching 29–30 mm in diameter. Upon ripening, they turn a dark red color. The flesh is firm and red. The pedicel is short. The variety is self-fertile, and fruit resistance to cracking is rated as medium.
