IFG Cher-two
ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The variety is actively used in breeding programs due to the presence of a unique S-allele of incompatibility, which determines pollination types. Based on this genotype, studies were conducted on the development of molecular markers for determining self-compatibility and incompatibility in sweet cherries.
The variety served as parental material for the development of the Lívia variety through open pollination. Detailed data on morphological traits, such as fruit size, maturity dates, or disease resistance, are absent in publicly available publications.
