The variety belongs to the medium-late or late maturity group. The tree is medium or vigorous with a widely spreading dense crown. The branches are strong, and the fruiting spurs tend to bend downwards. The variety requires careful formative pruning due to a tendency for the branches to become bare.

The fruits are large, weighing 9–12 g, of an elongated heart shape, dark burgundy, almost black in color. The flesh is dark red, firm, juicy, with a harmonious taste and aroma. The pedicel is very long, which contributes to better ventilation and reduces the risk of rotting.

The variety possesses resistance to fruit cracking after rain, however, its flower buds are sensitive to spring frosts. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators that bloom at similar times.
