The Vittona Spì variety, also known as Viton-a d'le Spi or Ciliegia della spiga, is a local variety historically adapted to the conditions of the Turin province. It received its name due to a characteristic scar at the apex of the berry, which in the local dialect means "thorn".

The tree of this variety has a spreading crown and is characterized by medium-weak vigor. The fruits are intended primarily for fresh consumption. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is preserved mainly in genetic resource collections and private plantings.
