The variety belongs to the group of European plums and is characterized as early-ripening, maturing after the «Shiro» variety. The trees are moderately vigorous in growth, with specific dimensions depending on the rootstock used. The variety is early-bearing but is not self-fertile; therefore, the «Vanette» and «Valor» varieties are recommended for pollination.

The fruits of the Valerie variety are distinguished by their large size and oblong shape. The flesh has a yellow or amber color and possesses sufficient firmness for packaging and transportation to wholesale markets. The variety is a hybrid of Valor and California Blue, intended for fresh consumption and commercial sale.
