The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and upright shoot orientation, requiring crown formation due to a tendency toward thickening. Depending on the rootstock, the height can reach 3.5–4.5 meters. Flowering is late, which protects the flowers from spring frosts. The variety is self-fertile and has reliable yield.

Fruits are large, oval-shaped, blue-black in color with a waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy, sweet and sour, greenish-yellow in hue; the stone is difficult to separate. The fruits are resistant to shedding and keep well on the tree until frosts. The variety exhibits high resistance to bacterial canker and silver leaf disease, and tolerates cool climates well.
