The variety was obtained by crossing «Czar» and «Ruth Gerstetter». The tree is medium-sized, entering fruit-bearing in the 3–4th year after planting. The variety is self-fertile and possesses high winter hardiness, adapting well to climates with cool summers.

Fruits are of medium size (30–35 g), oval-elliptic in shape, with dark purple or blue-black skin and a light blue waxy bloom. The golden-yellow pulp is characterized by a dense, juicy consistency and sweet taste. The stone separates easily from the pulp.

The ripening period falls in the second ten-day period of July. The variety has a universal purpose; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and various types of culinary processing.
