The variety was obtained in 1965 by crossing 'Liivi Kollane Munaploom' and 'Suhkruploom'. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and an upright crown. The variety is self-sterile; 'Duke of Edinburgh', 'Emma Leppermann', 'Noarootsi punane', and 'Märjamaa' are recommended as pollinators.
The fruits are large, egg-oval shaped, ripening in the first half of August. The flesh is yellow, juicy, of medium density, and has a sweet-and-sour taste. The pit separates easily from the flesh. Winter hardiness and disease resistance are rated as medium.
