The tree is vigorous, spreading, reaching a height of 3–5 meters depending on the rootstock. The variety is self-fertile, characterized by high and reliable yields, although it requires fruit thinning during heavy bearing to prevent branch breakage.

The fruit ripening period falls in late August or September. The fruits are large, blue-black in color with a glaucous bloom. The flesh is greenish-yellow, juicy, with a rich flavor and a freestone pit. The variety has good resistance to diseases, particularly silver leaf.

The fruits are suitable for culinary processing, including making jams, preserves, baking, and freezing, and are also suitable for fresh consumption when fully ripe.
