The variety is a bud mutation of the Italian Prune (Fellenberg) variety. Trees are characterized by vigorous growth, have an upright-spreading crown shape, and often reach smaller sizes than the parent variety. Productivity is assessed as moderate.
The fruit ripening period occurs in late August. The fruit is blue, of medium to large size, and oval in shape. The flesh is greenish-yellow, firm, and the pit separates well. The variety is of universal use, suitable for drying, fresh consumption, and culinary processing.
The plant is self-fertile, but the presence of pollinators, for example, the Stanley variety, contributes to an increase in yield. The variety possesses winter hardiness corresponding to zones 4–9.
