The tree has an erect crown type and reaches a height of about 4 meters. The harvest period begins in the first week of August and lasts until September. The fruits are large, purple with a reddish hue and an abundant waxy bloom, characterized by firm, juicy, and sweet flesh, good keeping quality, and resistance to cracking.
The variety is winter-hardy, withstanding frosts down to -15...-20 °C, and thanks to late flowering, it often avoids damage from spring frosts. Reine Claude d’Oullins and Reine Claude Dorée varieties are recommended as pollinators. In nurseries, the plant is most often grafted onto cherry plum rootstock.
