The variety was bred in Sweden as a result of crossing Laxton's Early Gage and Ruth Gerstetter varieties. The tree has moderate growth vigor and forms a sparse, open crown, which facilitates maintenance.
The fruits are medium to large in size, with dense yellowish-white flesh and medium-thickness skin with abundant bloom. The taste of the fruits is rated as tart with light sweetness; they are intended for fresh consumption and processing.
The variety is self-fertile and possesses tolerance to climatic conditions corresponding to zones I–III according to the Swedish winter hardiness scale.
