The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Bree and Tsarskaya plums. The tree reaches a height of 4–5 meters, forms a medium-dense, spreading crown, and begins bearing fruit in the second year after planting. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators, such as the Stanley variety, for a stable yield.
The fruits ripen in mid-July, have an oval shape and a weight of about 35 g. The color is dark blue with a bluish bloom; the flesh is light, juicy, and sweet with slight astringency and an easily separable pit. The fruits are prone to shedding immediately after ripening and are used primarily for fresh consumption and culinary purposes.
The plant possesses average winter hardiness and relatively high resistance to the Plum pox virus. Fruiting can be irregular, requiring regular maintenance and fertilization.
