The SAINT JULIEN GF 655-2 rootstock belongs to the species Prunus insititia. It provides medium vigor or semi-dwarfing in grafted trees and produces virtually no root suckers in the orchard.
The plant propagates well by green and hardwood cuttings, and also tolerates transplanting easily. The rootstock demonstrates resistance to bacterial canker and gall formation, however, young saplings may be sensitive to soil drying.
