The variety is a historically established local form that is not a product of modern breeding. The trees produce fruits of round or ovoid shape covered with purple skin.
A distinctive economic feature of the variety is fruit drop upon reaching full physiological maturity. Therefore, the traditional method of harvesting is the use of nets spread under the tree canopy to collect the fallen fruits.
