Variety description

10 August 2026

The «Ramassin» group varieties originate from Prunus syriaca. The fruits are small, weighing 10–15 g, oval-shaped, with skin color ranging from yellow-amber to dark purple and a characteristic waxy bloom. The plants are noted for being undemanding, having high vitality, and the ability to grow in mountainous conditions at altitudes of up to 1200 m.

Fruit ripening occurs from the second ten-day period of July. They have a sweet taste, aroma, and tender flesh that separates easily from the stone. Due to their delicate texture, the fruits have poor storage and transport life, and are prone to dropping when ripe, which is why harvesting is often done from the ground.

The varieties are resistant to diseases and frost. The yield is used fresh, as well as for the production of jams, preserves, syrups, and distillates.
