Fruits are medium-sized, round or oval in shape, with a dark red or deep purple color and a blue bloom. The flesh is golden-yellow, juicy, with a rich sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is mid-season, with harvest from the end of July to mid-August.
The tree can be medium-sized or semi-dwarf depending on the rootstock. The plant has high frost hardiness and resistance to Plum pox virus. The variety is self-sterile; for fruit set, pollinators such as Belle de Louvain, Reine Claude d'Ouillins, or Victoria are required.
The variety is intended primarily for fresh consumption and is also suitable for various types of culinary processing, including baking, and the preparation of jams and chutneys.
