The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work using the Imperial Epineuse and Grand Duke varieties. The tree is characterized as moderately vigorous, with a wide open crown of medium density.
The medium-sized fruits have a blue-violet color with a waxy bloom and juicy greenish-yellow flesh. The ripening period occurs in the second half of September; the fruits can remain on the branches until October. The pit separates easily from the flesh.
The variety is self-incompatible and requires cross-pollination. The fruits are versatile in use, suitable for fresh consumption, desserts, and various types of canning.
