The tree is characterized by an open crown type and stable but moderate yield. The variety is considered hardy and adapted to local growing conditions, although it is currently threatened with extinction and is included in biodiversity conservation programs.
The fruits are medium to small in size and obovate in shape. The skin is greenish-yellow with an intense waxy bloom; a purple hue is possible upon ripening. The flesh is firm, juicy, yellow-green in color, with a sweet taste; the pit separates well or partially.
