Dame de Provence is an old French variety known by the synonyms Ronde, Sultane, and A la Dame. The tree is characterized by good vigor and an upright, open crown. The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinators, as well as wind-protected planting sites.

Flowering occurs in February, and the crop ripens by mid-September. The fruits have a soft shell and medium size. The variety is characterized by medium productivity and is suitable for consumption both fresh in July and in a dry state after the September harvest.
