The variety is characterized by late flowering, which allows it to avoid spring frosts, and a relatively early fruit ripening period in August. The tree has medium vigor and an open crown shape, which facilitates mechanized harvesting. Genetically, the variety is related to the Tuono variety and is self-fertile.
The plant has high endurance and adaptability to arid growing conditions, both under irrigation and in rain-fed farming. Sensitivity to ochre spot (Polystigma ochraceum) has been noted. In warm climates, a higher percentage of double-kernel fruits is possible.
The nuts have a hard shell that protects the sweet, non-bitter kernel. The variety is suitable for commercial cultivation and use in the food industry, including confectionery production.
