The plant is a shrub with a dense crown of ovoid, slightly columnar shape. The height of a mature shrub is 3–4 meters with a width of about 1.5 meters. The leaves are lanceolate or elliptical in shape with a serrated margin; a characteristic feature is heterophylly.

The variety produces relatively few flowers. It is used in ornamental gardening as a solitaire plant or for creating hedges. The variety has good adaptation to the climatic conditions of the region of selection and is widely used in nursery production.
