The JM 34 variety is a compact form of cherry laurel with elliptical leaves. A characteristic feature is the young growth, which has a copper-red hue.
The plant is intended for use as a decorative element, including for forming hedges and growing in standard form. The breeding work on the variety was aimed at increasing resistance to extreme temperatures characteristic of Central and Eastern Europe.
