Variety description

The shrub is characterized by a dense, vertical habit, reaching about 2 meters in height after 7 years of growth and up to 3–4 meters under favorable conditions. The main ornamental feature is the golden-yellow young leaves and shoots, which darken over time while maintaining a golden hue on new growth.

In May, the plant produces erect inflorescences with small white flowers; black berries may appear in autumn. The variety is suitable for creating hedges, mass plantings, or for use as a specimen plant. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations with moist, well-drained soil; summer pruning stimulates the emergence of new, bright growth.

The plant possesses good winter hardiness, resistance to urban conditions, and is not susceptible to sunscald. Like other Prunus laurocerasus species, it contains toxic compounds that are dangerous if leaves or fruits are ingested.
