Variety description

The plant forms a compact, upright-growing shrub with dense branching, reaching a height of up to 2.5 meters and a width of about 1.5 meters. The leaves are evergreen, dense, leathery, oblong-elliptical in shape, and dark green with a pronounced gloss.

During the spring period, usually in April-May, upright raceme inflorescences of small creamy-white fragrant flowers appear on the shrub. Shiny dark fruits may form after flowering, however, the variety is characterized by low fruit set.

The variety is frost-resistant and tolerates pruning well, including rejuvenation pruning. The plant contains cyanogenic glycosides in its leaves and seeds, therefore it is not intended for human consumption.
