The 'Interlo' variety is a low spreading shrub reaching about 1 meter in height with a width of 2–3 meters. Annual growth is 15 to 25 cm. The plant's leaves are narrow, dark green, and glossy.

Flowering occurs in May–June with white racemose inflorescences, followed by the formation of black spherical fruits. All parts of the plant are poisonous.

The shrub is shade-tolerant, adapts well to various soil types, and prefers nutritious and permeable substrates. The plant is resistant to short-term droughts and tolerates light pruning.
