Variety description

The plant is an evergreen densely branched shrub with a narrow upright columnar form. Mature specimens reach a height of 3–4 m with a crown width of 0.8–1.2 m. Leathery glossy leaves of dark green color remain on the shrub all year round.

Flowering occurs in the period from April to May. Small white flowers are gathered in upright raceme inflorescences and have a light fragrance. In late summer, the appearance of decorative black fruits is possible. The variety is distinguished by winter hardiness down to -25 °C and requires pruning once a year.
