The Zsófi variety is an evergreen shrub with a naturally compact crown shape. A key feature is the small, narrow, leathery leaves of a dark green color with a sheen and serrated edges, visually resembling holly.

The plant has a moderate growth rate, reaching about 1.5 meters in height in five years. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness in the range of -15...-21 °C to -25...-27 °C, as well as good tolerance to heat up to 40 °C.

The plant branches well and is easily shaped by pruning, which allows it to be used for creating hedges or container cultivation. Flowering occurs in spring with the appearance of white fragrant inflorescences.
