There exists a historical variety of American breeding from 1880, which is a seedling of Oldmixon Free, and groups of varieties of Russian or Soviet breeding, including "Champion ranniy". Due to the diversity of forms, the description of flesh color, stone freeness, and ripening periods varies significantly in different sources.
Trees are usually characterized as medium-vigorous, with a height of 3–5 meters. The fruits have an average weight of 120–150 g and a rounded shape. The skin color varies from greenish-cream to golden-yellow with a carmine or red blush. The consistency of the flesh is juicy.
The variety is for fresh consumption and is suitable for processing. High resistance to major diseases, such as leaf curl and powdery mildew, is noted. Winter hardiness is estimated as above average, with the possibility of withstanding frosts down to –25 °C.
