The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Rochester and Redskin, previously tested under the number NC9062. Trees are of medium vigor and form large flowers.
Fruits are medium to large in size, round in shape, with dense pubescence. The skin is dull yellow with a red blush. The flesh is yellow, medium-firm, and the pit easily separates when fully ripe; the flesh texture may be prone to mealiness.
Late variety, ripening dates fall in August – early September. Trees are productive and require fruit thinning. Possesses moderate resistance to bacterial spot Xanthomonas campestris pv. pruni.
