The variety belongs to the very early group, ripening under Bulgarian conditions 1–2 days earlier than the Maycrest variety. The fruits have an attractive appearance and meet the characteristics of dessert varieties.
Flaviya peach is recommended for cultivation in southern regions. The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program launched in 1989 at the Institute of Fruit Growing in the city of Plovdiv.
