The Flavortop variety tree is characterized by vigorous or moderately vigorous growth and a semi-upright or spreading crown, reaching a height of 3–6 meters. The plant is self-fertile and does not require the mandatory presence of pollinators to form a crop.
The fruits have a round-oval shape, a weight of 180–240 g, and smooth skin of golden-yellow color with an intense red or ruby blush. The yellow flesh of the fruits is firm and juicy, becoming tender upon ripening, and the stone separates easily. The variety is susceptible to diseases typical for nectarines, such as leaf curl and bacterial spot.
