The Foton Red tree has medium vigor and a semi-spreading crown type. Flowering is early, and the variety requires a low number of winter chilling hours. Summer pruning is recommended to ensure high-quality fruit coloration and wood renewal.
The fruits are large, of regular spherical shape, with an average weight of 150–160 g. The flesh is yellow, juicy and fine, with a balanced and aromatic flavor. The skin has an intense red color over an orange background with slight pubescence.
The variety has high productivity and good transportability. Low susceptibility to pit splitting and rot is noted.
