The variety Nectarciel (breeding index ASF1807) was obtained through open pollination of the variety Nectarperf. The fruits have an average weight of about 195 g, and 80–85% of their surface is covered with a bright purple-red blush on a red background.
The nectarine flesh is white, semi-freestone, and possesses a semi-sweet taste with very low acidity and a sugar level of 16.5 °Brix. In the Pyrenees, the fruit ripens at the end of July and is suitable for sale on the fresh produce market.
