The tree is medium-sized, with a rounded or broadly inverted-conical crown of medium density, reaching a height of 3–4 meters. The branches are prone to spreading. The fruits are round-oval, slightly asymmetrical, weighing from 110–130 g to 170 g. The primary skin color is yellow-amber or orange-yellow, covered with a burgundy-red blush occupying more than 50–75% of the surface. The flesh is yellow, with raspberry veins, tender and juicy; the stone separates well.

The variety is of medium maturity group; in a temperate climate, the fruits ripen in early August. The tree begins bearing fruit in the 3–4th year, possesses high and stable yield, and is prone to fruit overloading, which requires thinning. Redkhaven is a self-fertile variety. The purpose of the fruits is universal: consumption fresh and all types of processing.

The winter hardiness of the variety is rated as above average; it is sufficiently resistant to late spring frosts. Resistance to powdery mildew and Clasterosporium carpophilum is medium, and to leaf curl is low. The fruits possess high transportability.
