The variety is a hybrid between Prunus salicina (subspecies ussuriensis) and cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera). The plant possesses high winter hardiness, which allows it to be used in challenging climatic conditions. During flowering, the variety is noted for its ornamental value.

The fruits of the variety are medium-sized; ripening times occur in July or are characterized as medium. An important biological feature is that this variety, belonging to diploid plums, does not cross-pollinate with the common plum (Prunus domestica).
