Variety description

The plant has a slow growth rate, reaching a height of 0.5 m and a width of 0.8 m after 10 years. Leaves are leathery, glossy, dark green in color, oval-shaped, measuring up to 3.2 by 1.9 cm.

Flowers are funnel-shaped, wide open, up to 5 cm in diameter, gathered in inflorescences of 3–4. Petal color is purple-violet with a dark violet-red spot on the upper petal and slightly wavy edges. Flowering occurs in mid-May.

The variety has frost resistance down to -24 °C and tolerates pruning well due to intensive branching. Intended for decorative use in group plantings, rock gardens, and containers.
