The variety was obtained by crossing Ben Alder and Ben Lomond. The plant forms a vigorous bush with an upright growth habit. Flowering and ripening occur later than in the Ben Lomond variety, with berries capable of remaining on the branches for a long time after ripening.
The variety is resistant to powdery mildew and leaf spot, but susceptible to big bud mite and reversion. The berries have a high content of sugars and anthocyanins with a moderate level of vitamin C. The crop is well adapted to mechanical harvesting and is oriented toward processing, in particular for juice production.
